ORDER the second volume; £6.50 only
400 A6 pages; poems, pics and explanatory notes). Nice shiny cover; make the most of the deals being offered on the Legendary High Town Shop (e.g. special price for buying the first and second volumes together).
In and around town; well, it looks like the flying buses thing might be wobbling. No real surprise. No one really wanted this crazy scheme in the first place, and although work is going on for the time being, and slowly chipping away at the hopes and dreams of the railway lobby, the local rags are full of tales of financial woes. As I say, no real suprise; if you look and take into account the other municipal and civic prevarications and balls-ups (Napier Park/Vauxhall, Power Court, the continuingly ugly railway station, the management of the Luton Baths, the Library multi storey, Someries Castle, the whole area between the Arndale and Guildford St, Luton Town stadium et-bloody-cetera).
Such a mess would never have been allowed in places like St Albans.
CLOD MAGAZINE edition 22 is SELLING OUT FAST. Luton watchers; this mag includes a print from the renowned Hi-Artz press, and a cd including a new track by top Colombain rocking duo, Drowned UFO. Full details from the High Town site.
